The Cherokee Nation Angel Project was established to help provide Christmas gifts to low-income Native American children, living within the Cherokee Nation’s Reservation. Applications are accepted each fall and angels are placed on a tree located at the W.W. Keeler Tribal Complex in Tahlequah.

Parents applying for Angel Project assistance must provide:

  • Photo ID for parent/guardian (guardianship papers, if applicable)
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income (check stub, social security award letter, SNAP letter)
  • Cherokee Nation citizenship card for each child
  • Email address and phone number for the parent/guardian applying.

Donations can be made to the Angel Project by using the Online Donation Form.
